Member Area

In June of 1999 our association was formed by a handful of law enforcement officers representing local, county, state, and federal agencies determined to encourage and provide education, interaction, and networking between Crisis Negotiators in the State of Illinois.

Over the past decade our association has grown to include over 250 members from law enforcement, correctional, mental health, and criminal justice professionals dedicated to the safe and successful resolution when responding to a variety of crisis incidents. To help ensure that our members are prepared to respond when a crisis strikes, our association remains dedicated to the mission of providing our membership with the most current and effective Crisis Negotiation training, resources, ideologies, practices, and techniques available.

To remain steadfast in this mission, the board is working to continue our efforts in obtaining contributors to our ICNA Scholarship Fund in order to help ensure funds are available for officers representing departments with limited or non-existent training funds to provide Crisis Negotiation training.
